Huzzah!
After two years of cossetting and nurturing, with regular waterings and tiny bits of masking tape to encourage it to cling on, the Virginia Creeper has finally made it on to the brickwork of the house (ie it's about six and a half feet tall).

Congratulations! It won't look back now. In another few years it will cover the whole house and you will have to cut your way out of the front door!!
