Meet me at Parioli

A new cafe has opened up on Lower Clapton Road, just round the corner from Second Work; it's bright and cosy and friendly and lovely...



...there are leather couches to relax on, and shared tables with pots of herbs, and the cappuccinos are served in cups like soup bowls with handles, and have at least an inch of foam... the food is all home made, to traditional Sicilian recipes, and the shelves simply groaning with jams and wines and biscotti and pasta and every other sort of delicacy...



...it's always decorated to reflect the season, so at the moment there are tiny fluffy yellow chicks everywhere, and pastel eggs nestled in baskets... and the owners greet me and Sue, when we go round there together at least twice a week, like old friends.
