Huzzah!

After two years of cossetting and nurturing, with regular waterings and tiny bits of masking tape to encourage it to cling on, the Virginia Creeper has finally made it on to the brickwork of the house (ie it's about six and a half feet tall).

Kew Gardens

Sunday, April 15, 2007

If it's sunny and warm this Saturday,

I think I might visit the Museum of Garden History, down at Lambeth...

it's in the old St Mary's church there, and has a seventeenth century knot garden, and a cafe, right there in the churchyard...

I might stroll down from Waterloo, drinking iced coffee,

and wander round the garden for a while,

and take some photos,

and then I might sit under the newly-leafed trees in the shady courtyard, and lunch on spinach and cheese pasty, with bean sprout salad, and some couscous, and drink organic pomegranate and apple juice.

I might do that; I'll let you know if I do.

A lone star state of mind

Many of you know I made my first visit to the States last November, to Texas and Louisiana... I had a great time, and have been wanting to blog about it for a while, but have been very busy, and now my computer problems mean I have (temporarily) no access to my photos... except this one!

In the jeans: the gorgeous David
In the shorts: the almost-as-gorgeous Tack, aka Grumpy, a mutual friend from our internet forum
In the skirt: some random girl ;)

This photo was taken at the Texas Roadhouse in Austin, after we'd been to see Casino Royale; it was Grumpy's first meeting with anyone forum related, so the excitement levels were high all round :D

More photos to come...

How does your garden grow?

Why, very well, thank you.

:D
